FAdeA and the Embraer KC-390 Millennium supply chain
Strengthening its participation in Embraer’s KC-390 Millennium programme, FAdeA has completed the delivery of further aeronautical components in Brazil, reaffirming its role as a key supplier within this regional industrial initiative. The shipment, dispatched on 31 March, was the second delivery of the year and falls under the current contract between the Fábrica Argentina de Aviones “Brigadier San Martín” and Brazil’s Embraer.

This consignment comprised two nose landing gear doors (NLGD), two spoilers, two movable fairings, and one primary part. All of these items are part of the structural sub-assemblies that FAdeA manufactures for the KC-390 Millennium production line.
Across 2025, the Argentine company has recorded a total of 21 shipments linked to this programme, a figure that highlights both continuity and a stronger integration into the production framework for Embraer’s transport aircraft. This pace of deliveries reinforces FAdeA’s position as one of the region’s strategic suppliers within a programme that brings together multiple international participants.
KC-390 Millennium operational profile and global uptake
The KC-390 Millennium is regarded as one of the most effective aircraft in its class, engineered for demanding environments and complex missions. Designed as a multi-mission transport and aerial refuelling platform, it combines strong performance, operational flexibility and cost efficiency, with capabilities ranging from air-to-air refuelling to rapid response in combat scenarios and logistics operations.
It is currently in service with Brazil, Portugal and Hungary, and has been selected by South Korea, the Netherlands, Austria, the Czech Republic, Sweden and Slovakia.
Arctic trials at Sweden’s Vidsel Test Range
Alongside its industrial consolidation, the KC-390’s operational potential in extreme conditions has recently been demonstrated through an Arctic test campaign at the Vidsel Test Range facility in Sweden, where the aircraft showed outstanding cold-weather performance. During these trials, short take-offs and landings were validated, as well as the ability to load and rapidly deploy heavy vehicles such as the SISU GTT, while still retaining space for troops and additional equipment.
These outcomes further support the KC-390 Millennium’s positioning as a modern, adaptable platform suited to operating under the Agile Combat Employment (ACE) concept. In this setting, FAdeA’s sustained export flow not only reflects its industrial capability, but also ties it directly to the international success of one of the leading military transport platforms developed in the region.
