Tesla Cybercab arrives in Lisbon: dates and venue
After stops in Milan and Madrid, it is now Lisbon’s turn to host the Tesla Cybercab. Tesla’s vision for the future of mobility will be on display at Tesla Center Lisboa - Belas from 9 to 12 July.
What the Cybercab is and how it works
First unveiled to the public in October 2024 in Los Angeles, the Cybercab is a 100% autonomous, all-electric robotaxi designed to provide one-to-one transport with no human involvement. That is why it does not come with a steering wheel or pedals.
European Cybercab tour and entry details
The Lisbon appearance forms part of the Cybercab’s European tour, a series of events intended to introduce the public to the future of autonomous and electric mobility. Entry is free, but registration is required and can be completed via this link.
Everything we already know about the Cybercab
The vehicle’s styling has raised eyebrows, even if it is not quite as shocking as the Cybertruck. The influence of the pick-up is obvious, but the overall design has been softened considerably. The doors open upwards and the minimalist cabin offers just two seats plus a huge central touchscreen on the centre console.
The Tesla Cybercab is not meant to be ‘just’ a self-driving taxi. According to Musk, it stands for the future of mobility by allowing drivers to reclaim time that is currently lost to everyday commuting.
