Have you ever come across a vacuum-cleaner brand with ambitions to build the “fastest car in the world”? You could say it is aiming to sweep away the competition. In an automotive industry where surprises seem to arrive almost daily, this is yet another of those unlikely stories.
The main character here is Dreame Technology, a Chinese company previously best known for its smart vacuum cleaners and other home products.
Now, the brand has turned its attention to the road and unveiled its first car: a luxury electric supercar, still at the prototype stage, which the company says will be the “fastest in the world”.
What do we know so far?
In the first images released by Dreame, the styling appears heavily influenced by the Bugatti Chiron, with muscular proportions, an aggressive front end and the kind of lines you would expect from a supercar.
Inside, it follows the design language of the latest luxury EVs, featuring a two-spoke steering wheel and a digital display integrated into the dashboard.
As for technical specifications, nothing has been officially confirmed yet. However, by positioning Bugatti as the benchmark, the intent is obvious: huge power and figures that can take on the world’s best hypercars. For context, the Chiron uses an 8.0 W16 engine with four turbochargers, producing 1500 cv, and reaches a top speed electronically limited to 420 km/h.
When will it arrive?
Dreame’s first model is only expected to enter production in 2027. Before then, the prototype is scheduled to make its first public appearance at CES in Las Vegas in early 2026.
At the same time, the company is working to strengthen its global footprint: it is exploring the construction of a factory in Brandenburg, near Tesla’s Gigafactory, and is in talks with BNP Paribas on a financing deal to support its international expansion. It is not yet clear which markets it plans to enter.
