25 de Abril Bridge: traffic restrictions scheduled between 9 October and 5 November

Between 9 October and 5 November, traffic on the 25 de Abril Bridge will be subject to restrictions due to resurfacing works. All of the measures were already scheduled in advance by Lusoponte as part of its maintenance programme.

The works will take place on weekdays, overnight, between 21:00 and 06:00 the following day. During these hours, Lusoponte warns that drivers may face delays and changes to normal traffic flow.

Alternative crossing over the River Tagus: Vasco da Gama Bridge

For anyone needing to cross the River Tagus during this period, the concessionaire advises using the Vasco da Gama Bridge instead of the 25 de Abril Bridge.

“Aconselhamos a utilização alternativa da Ponte Vasco da Gama, durante esse período, no horário noturno dos dias úteis, compreendido entre as 21h00 e as 06h00 do dia seguinte”, said the company in a statement.

“Desde já se agradece a melhor compreensão para os eventuais incómodos que esta intervenção possa vir a causar”, Lusoponte concluded.
